Your role


A rare opportunity for a Technical Account Manager has come available to support and help grow our successful Food & Beverage Process and Industrial Water Treatment division in New South Wales. This is a newly created opportunity and will sit as part of a team accountable for customer facing activities and performance, this role is pivotal in the ongoing growth of Ixom.

This critical customer facing role will see you manage and develop key relationships with our premium customers, leveraging your contacts and current network to ensure the longevity of these strong relationships, whilst collaborating and influencing at a senior level. This role is one that provides exciting future career options in a great business and industry.

This role may suit someone with significant experience to come in and hit the ground running, to start building those critical relationships straight away. You will have lots of autonomy and flexibility to do your role and be empowered to find mutual growth solutions that work for both the customers and for Ixom.


Your responsibilities


  • Identify and deliver substantial new business growth within your industry segment to improve business profitability
  • Prepare and execute customer action plans to improve profitability and satisfaction
  • Generate leads through customer interaction (e.g. visits, calls, written correspondence)
  • Provide market intelligence to Industry Leads and Product Managers to inform pricing, product plans and industry strategies
  • Liaising with Product Management and other parts of business to Develop proposals, tender submissions, RFQ responses and pricing letters as required
  • Capture market intelligence and competitor information
  • Manage contracts to ensure compliance, timely extensions and maximise value for Ixom


Your skills & experience


  • Prior experience in B2B Sales and Account Management, ideally within the water treatment or food and beverage processing industry
  • Previous experience with managing high profile key accounts/customers
  • Genuine new business development expertise with the ability to create opportunities through various channels
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build longstanding relationships
  • Contract management, bid preparation and contract negotiation experience
  • Commercial acumen to offer astute insights and advice
  • Tenacious, driven and are motivated by the thrill of a win
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental or related field will be highly regarded but not necessary
