About your role

 

As the Senior HR Business Partner based in New Zealand, you will collaborate closely with our HR Business Partners in Australia to manage HR Generalist activities across New Zealand.

 

The role reports directly to the Head of People & Culture Business Partnering ANZ and positions you as an integral member of the New Zealand leadership team.

 

You will be responsible for delivering HR advice and solutions that will support IXOM in achieving its strategic goals. Additionally, you will develop HR initiatives aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-country HR support and guidance to management across all business functions based in New Zealand.
  • Build trust-based relationships with senior leaders to develop and implement strategy, projects, solutions, policies and processes that align with business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with unions and other industrial relations associations.
  • Coach and advise people leaders on a variety of employee issues including investigations, redundancy, respectful workplace, compensation, performance and compliance.
  • Work in partnership with P&C Centre’s of Excellence (COE’s) and AU HR Business Partners to effectively implement people initiatives and key cyclical activities across NZ, including performance management, remuneration reviews and engagement activities.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting leaders with talent assessment and development. Additionally, you will develop HR initiatives aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in a senior HR role, preferably within a global matrixed organisation.
  • Proven ability in developing and implementing strategic HR solutions that drive improved business performance and support people and leadership development. 
  • Deep knowledge of employment legislation, employment relations and industrial relations.
  • Possess knowledge and experience with New Zealand unions and local Collective Agreements bargaining.
  • A proven track record of leading change processes in contribution to the company’s success.
  • Prior experience of mergers & acquisitions activities desirable.
  • Familiar with HRIS, preferably SAP Success Factors.
