Your role


Through continued growth and success, we have a newly created opportunity for a Carrier Performance Manager to join our freight and warehousing team. Being a new role, this will give the successful candidate the opportunity to mold and shape this function into best in class for the Dangerous Goods industry.

In this business-critical role, you will manage 3PL carriers and warehouse providers across a broad supply chain base of Dangerous Goods and Chemical distribution networks across Australia. You will be responsible for relationships with our providers, spend management, carrier performance and network optimization.


Your responsibilities


  • Development of the business networks distribution strategy for packaged and bulk freight
  • Manage strategic 3PL relationship engagement and management of contractor management framework
  • Develop a greater intimacy of supply base operational and service capability
  • Managing the distribution budget - control and reporting of spend trends
  • Rigorous compliance metrics holding the freight carriers to account increasing order visibility
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders in understanding how to extract greater value from the freight contracts
  • Key team member on tender bids and support large bid tenders for providers


Your skills & experience


  • Tertiary qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field
  • Previous experience in managing 3PL contracts and relationships
  • You will have worked within a transport and supply chain environment to be successful in this role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • Demonstrated management of customer and supplier relationships in a complex environment
