Your role

Through continued growth and success, we are searching for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst who is looking to work alongside a strong leader as a mentor, within a supportive and collaborative work environment.

In this role, you will be closely partnering with product and account managers across our Traded Products team to deliver their annual growth targets and strategic objectives, with a focus on pricing and business case support.
Your responsibilities
- Support the finance business parter and financial services team to deliver the month end close process in an accurate and timely manner
- Support in the preparation of month end commentary and monthly management reporting pack (MBR’s) providing fact-based insight of business performance
- Support the finance business partner on all corporate planning processes (Budget, Forecast, Corporate Plan)
- Support the business with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
- Partner with the commercial team to improve financial outcomes, and support decision making.
- Support the pricing strategy by enforcing disciplined, efficient, and optimal pricing to improve the quality of earnings on all manufactured and traded products across the portfolio.
- Support on investment decisions (capital projects, new business opportunities) by constructing business cases with integrated financial models to support growth activities and to assess business risks / opportunities
- Active contributor to all Contract Approval Requests: new contracts, renewals, tenders, pricing submissions (review, constructive challenge)
- Prepare presentations for senior executive updates
- Lead small projects, partner with stakeholders across IXOM to improve processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency of reporting.
- Support the business to conduct analysis of market growth/share, ensuring a detailed understanding of the competitor landscape, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the business
Your skills & experience
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or Accounting; and professional qualification (CA or CPA)
- Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, pricing or analytical role in a manufacturing organisation
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and working knowledge using data analytics tools (Power BI preferred)
- High degree of commercial acumen with superior attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and experience in an analysis role; comfortable working with large data sets and multiple data sources.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to work with people at all levels, with confidence to challenge in the right way to influence better outcomes
- Highly regarded is having ERP knowledge (preferably SAP) along with HFM experience
