About your role
We are currently searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic Credit Controller to join our Finance team in our Melbourne CBD Head Office. Reporting into the Senior Credit Controller, the Credit Controller will be responsible for credit collection of customer accounts in a manner that ensures cash and debtor targets are met; minimises bad debts; and ensures high customer satisfaction and ease of working with IXOM.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the timely and effective collection of all debts and payments through regular and proactive contact with customers
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment
- Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
- Reconciliation of complex accounts including as required, liaising with customers as well as internal teams to resolve issues
- Conduct credit and collection activities in line with credit management policies and procedures
- Maintain proper records of customer (debtor) accounts for visibility
- Recommend and undertake process improvements to ensure quality service delivery and drive continuous improvements
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as required
Who are we looking for?
- Prior experience using SAP is essential for the successful candidate
- Proven and successful track record in collecting customer debts
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the Finance and broader business
- Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the desire to continue learning and developing
