About your role

 

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Distribution Coordinator to join our broader Supply Chain team on a fixed-term contract covering parental leave(Contract Duration: 1st October 2025 – 1st Feb 2027)

 

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of IXOM’s bulk liquids and related products to our customers, leveraging our network of contracted third-party carriers. 

 

This is a faced paced position that ensures the chemicals we manufacture are distributed and transported in the safest, most efficient way. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Schedule and coordinate delivery activities of products to meet customer expectations
  • Interact with multiple vendors/carriers and manage their activities to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate complex transport movements, ensuring routes are planned effectively and vehicles are efficiently loaded
  • Monitor carrier performance against agreed objectives and contractual obligations
  • Plan, lead and participate in carrier's review meetings
  • Investigate service and DIFOT fails and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate carrier related safety incidents, identity root causes and work with internal and external stakeholders to implement corrective actions
  • Assist with automated reporting issues, track and trace and paperless processes

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the coordination of logistics services for a corporate organisation
  • Experience scheduling and managing fleets on behalf of a 3PL
  • Dangerous goods experience in a bulk road and rail transport environment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and the ability to think on your feet
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
