About your role

Reporting to the Team Leader, as the Payment & Reconciliation Officer, you will manage the payment process for Ixom Carriers in Australia as a part of our Freight Processing team of 3. You will manage and maintain the SAP freight system to ensure accurate payment processing and act as a pivotal interface between Ixom and our contracted carriers with regards to accounts and some operational outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a part-time capacity with flexibility on how you want to work your hours.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of carrier statements received via EDU and uploaded into our ECC SAP system
  • Identification of any discrepancies between our carrier statements our records and investigation and resolution of any variations
  • Ensure invoicing process reflect operational outcomes i.e. cancelled loads, demurrage.
  • Credits received in timely manner for overcharges
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that payments are made following the agreed and documented process
  • Work with carriers to manage the quality and timeliness of invoicing/credit receipts.
  • Ensure no over-payments are made to carriers and any variances in rates are managed effectively
  • Carry out any other reasonable administrative tasks as instructed
  • Maintenance of all rates, routes and carrier lead times in SAP
  • Manage rate changes due to fuel levy changes, new rates, new carriers, annual escalations
  • Supply agreed rates in a timely manner or obtain from carriers for new business where requested
  • Work with customer service with routes, lead times for correct DIFOT measures

 

Your skills & experience

  • Demonstrated experience with payment reconciliation
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping role
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • A proactive approach to your work with a keen eye for detail
