Functional Consultant - Finance

We're seeking a Functional Consultant - Finance to join our Transformation & Technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance and IT, partnering with stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into practical technology solutions and help drive IXOM's digital transformation agenda.

This role will play a key part in several major initiatives, including IXOM's SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW) journey, bringing multiple businesses and ERP platforms together into a single future-state environment.

About the role

As the Functional Consultant - Finance, you'll act as the link between Finance and Technology, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solutions and support project delivery from inception through to deployment.

You'll be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, designing Finance-related SAP solutions, supporting system enhancements and providing expert guidance on Finance processes and applications. You'll also support critical business initiatives while helping simplify and standardise processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into practical SAP Finance solutions and technical specifications.
• Support project delivery from design through to testing, deployment and adoption.
• Provide solution design expertise across SAP Finance processes and integrations.
• Work across acquisitions, integrations and transformation projects.
• Provide third-level support for critical Finance-related applications and incidents.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, systems and user experiences.

Who are we looking for?

• Strong SAP Finance experience, ideally across SAP ECC Finance (FI/CO) modules.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
• Understanding of Finance process integration with other SAP modules such as SD and MM.
• Experience working across projects, enhancements and business-as-usual support activities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving capability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Highly regarded:

• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW) experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience supporting Finance transformation or ERP implementation programs.
