About your role

 

As a Junior HRBP/ HR Advisor at Ixom, no two days are the same. With interesting and varied challenges, projects, and priorities to meet, you will find yourself immersed in a hands-on and fast paced position.

 

This role provides an outstanding opportunity to strengthen your HR capability and accelerate your career while contributing to impactful people initiatives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will also benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with three on‑site days split between our Hallam location and Head Office, and two days working from home.

 

Working closely with the Senior Manager, People Partners, this role provides practical HR advice to leaders and employees, helping to drive key initiatives across talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Partnering with P&C Business Partners to resolve employee relations and performance matters, ensuring risks are mitigated and outcomes are fair and aligned with business objectives.
  • Coaching people leaders to effectively balance employee needs with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Providing proactive advice and solutions on emerging people issues.
  • Sharing business insights with the broader P&C team to support the design and delivery of effective people initiatives.
  • Supporting EBA planning and coordination, interpreting EBAs to provide clear guidance to employees and leaders, and ensuring compliance with workplace legislation and company policies.
  • Developing a strong understanding of workforce and talent needs across stakeholder groups.
  • Supporting key talent activities including talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce planning
  • Keeping people leaders informed and aligned with broader P&C programs and initiatives.
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of P&C initiatives that strengthen organisational capability and culture.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

This is an exciting and diverse role, where we require an individual who is a problem solver, a great communicator, and is happy to work as part of a team as well as autonomously. You will need to be curious, proactive, responsive and be flexible to work from our sites as required.

  • Experience conducting and/or coaching disciplinary and performance management discussions
  • Degree qualifications in (or currently studying) Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Commerce, Psychology or other related discipline.
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in a similar or related role within manufacturing or warehousing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information in a diplomatic manner
  • Basic level of experience and understanding of industrial and employee relations matters.
  • Understanding of the employment lifecycle and its implications on our employees.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence various stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in administration and/or recruitment is highly regarded
  • Managing a dynamic and changing work environment with strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with limited direct supervision
  • Experience of HR systems is desired however not essential, coupled with strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
