We’re looking for a Junior Product Manager to support our Mining, Metals, Oil & Gas portfolio in this newly created role based at our Melbourne Head Office. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and further develop our key external relationships with our long-standing suppliers and ongoing portfolio of customers
  • Generation of product plans to support the various IXOM end market strategies, sourcing of these products and management of the Principals and Suppliers
  • Ensuring the end to end (buy through to sell) profitability of their product portfolio.
  • Successful achievement of inventory goals
  • Establishing product and marketing development plans, including market maps for key products related to the Mining, Metals, Oil and Gas industry.
  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies and monitoring conformance
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across a variety of business functions for Ixom group collaboration
  • Support the team with pricing, marketing intelligence and strategic positioning with bids tender and annual pricing reviews.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Science or Technical discipline, or experience in relevant technologies (Industrial chemistry, process engineering or metallurgy, mining or business) is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills
  • Supply Chain or distribution experience would be advantageous
  • Prior exposure to dealing with chemicals and Dangerous Goods would be beneficial
  • Degree of commercial acumen to problem solve and adapt to a range of scenarios
  • Financial literacy with basic understanding of international trading is strongly preferred
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Tenacious and knowledgeable with the innate ability to read and react to a wide range of situations
  • Flexibility and freedom to travel when required, both interstate and internationally.
