At IXOM, we’re growing our Life Sciences – Personal Care portfolio, and we’re looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to lead and expand strategic customer relationships across Victoria.

 

About your role

 

This is a consultative, solution-led commercial role within a niche and growing segment.

 

You’ll own a portfolio of key Personal Care customers and:

 

  • Develop deep insight into customer formulations, innovation pipelines and product strategies
  • Identify new growth opportunities across ingredients, actives and specialty raw materials
  • Lead commercial discussions including pricing, tenders and long-term agreements

 

Success in this role comes from combining technical curiosity with strong commercial thinking — translating product capability into real customer value.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own and grow a portfolio of Personal Care accounts, delivering revenue, volume and margin targets
  • Identify and convert high-value opportunities across new and existing customers
  • Build trusted relationships with R&D, formulation, procurement and commercial stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to customer and IXOM growth
  • Lead negotiations, tenders and contract discussions
  • Partner internally to deliver tailored, value-based technical solutions
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline, forecasting and CRM management

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We’re keen to hear from candidates with direct exposure to Personal Care, Essential Oils, Pharmaceuticals & Health and Wellness ideally including:

 

  • Experience in Personal Care, Cosmetics or specialty chemical/ingredient distribution
  • Exposure to actives, essential oils, fragrance, or formulation-driven products
  • Strong track record in B2B business development and key account growth
  • Proven ability to sell technical / solution-based products into complex customer environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear commercial value
  • Strong commercial acumen across pricing, negotiation and long-term agreements

 

Backgrounds highly regarded:

 

  • Personal Care ingredient suppliers or distributors
  • Life Sciences or specialty chemicals aligned to Personal Care
