We’re looking for a commercially savvy Key Account Manager to grow and manage a high-value portfolio across water authorities and power generation customers in Victoria.
This is more than account management — it’s a true commercial ownership role. You’ll take ownership of a Victorian portfolio and balance:
- Strategic account management of key water and energy customers
- Business development and pipeline growth
- Tendering, contracting and negotiation in a regulated environment
You’ll be the trusted partner to your customers — understanding their operational challenges and delivering solutions that improve performance, reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key accounts across water authorities and power stations
- Build strong relationships across procurement, operations, and executive stakeholders
- Lead tenders, pricing and contract negotiations end-to-end
- Own forecasting, pipeline and account plans
- Identify and convert cross-sell and optimisation opportunities
- Partner internally to ensure safe, reliable and compliant service delivery
- Maintain deep market insight across Victorian water and power generation sectors to identify threats and opportunities early
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in account management or business development, ideally within: water utilities/water treatment (strongly preferred) or energy, power generation or industrial sectors
- Strong tendering and contract management experience
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
- Sharp commercial acumen – pricing, margin and value-based selling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate technical detail into clear, commercial outcomes
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A background in engineering, science or chemistry will be highly regarded
