Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving supply chain excellence? Join Ixom’s Life Sciences division as our Planning Lead, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our forecasting and planning processes across Australia and New Zealand.
About your role
This role is responsible for managing the demand planning process for the Life Sciences division, including Australian Botanical Products (ABP). You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Business Managers, and the Supply Planner to ensure accurate forecasting, seamless product introductions, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly demand planning cycles, delivering 12-month forecasts that underpin budgeting and strategic decisions.
- Drive weekly demand reviews, providing up-to-date 3-month projections and identifying key shifts in demand.
- Resolve demand and supply imbalances, ensuring optimal stock levels and service delivery.
- Champion inventory optimisation, with a focus on reducing slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOBS).
- Support new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate master data management.
- Collaborate on supply chain continuous improvement initiatives, alongside the Life Sciences Planning Manager.
- Act as SAP subject matter expert, supporting current operations and future system rollouts.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded professional with a strong background in demand planning and stakeholder engagement. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in demand planning, S&OP, or inventory management.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across commercial teams.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience in people management and mentoring.
- Solid project management skills and ability to drive initiatives.
- Financial literacy, including understanding of revenue, margins, and working capital.
- High proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
