Your role


Through continued growth and success within the business, we are currently searching for a Planning Lead to join part of the broader Supply Chain team in a newly created position.


This role will work across our Life Sciences (Food & Beverage, Flavours & Fragrances & Health and Personal Care) division and will lead the Integrated Business Planning process whilst partnering collaboratively with the Executive, Finance, and commercial teams.


You will mainly be responsible for quality of planning and execution across the demand and supply processes and drive a robust volume and financial forecasting process, enabling the business to plan effectively.


Your responsibilities


  • Collaboratively partner with the Life Sciences EVP, Finance Business Partner and broader commercial team to embed effective planning processes
  • Lead and coach the Demand & Supply Planners within Life Sciences
  • Manage and resolve short term demand & supply imbalances
  • Lead the weekly demand/supply balancing meeting, understanding short term changes and ensuring informed escalations are made
  • Embed effective utilisation of SAP tools across demand and supply planning
  • Lead preparation for and facilitate the monthly IBP BU review meeting
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing continuous improvement culture within Life Sciences planning
  • Deploy and then maintain a robust monthly IBP process, step-changing from the current monthly S&OP
  • Represent business requirements and support the roll out of new or enhanced planning tools



Your skills & experience


  • Tertiary qualified in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or Engineering, along with an APICS qualification which would be highly regarded
  • Significant IBP/S&OP, Demand Planning & Supply Planning experience in a complex Supply Chain operation
  • Previous experience within an FMCG environment would be advantageous
  • Driven a continuous improvement culture, initiating and embedding improvements both within function and cross-functionally
  • Problem solving, negotiating and influencing commercial colleagues to improve processes and controls
  • Prior experience in the development of strong internal and external relationships and the facilitation of teams
  • Coaching, training and leading others
  • Use of data analysis and the ability to tell a story and present complex data
