About your role

 

Lead IXOM’s indirect procurement across our global operations, with a strong emphasis on leadership. governance, cost control, and supplier performance. This role is pivotal in driving procurement standards and governance, ensuring compliance, and delivering effective solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories including logistics, energy and utilities, manufacturing and capital equipment, professional services, facilities, property and travel.
  • Align procurement initiatives with IXOM’s strategic goals, focusing on value creation and operational efficiency.
  • Continually enforce procurement policies, procedures, and controls that reflect IXOM’s commitment to safety and integrity.
  • Lead supplier risk management, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, demand management, and supplier consolidation.
  • Implement spend analytics and performance dashboards to monitor procurement impact and identify opportunities.
  • Build strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure service excellence, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements that support IXOM’s operational and commercial objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across commercial, SHE, finance, and operations, to deliver integrated procurement solutions.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or CIPS certification is a plus).
  • 10+ years of procurement experience, with deep expertise in indirect spend and governance within complex industrial environments.
  • A strong track record in cost control, procurement transformation, and delivering measurable value.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and spend analytics tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in the chemical or manufacturing sector is highly desirable
