About your role
We currently have the opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Traded Products commercial team, in a 12-month contract position, due to upcoming parental leave.
Based at our Head Office in Melbourne, this role will be responsible for the overall product stewardship of the bulk liquids portfolio to support various IXOM end market strategies. This role will manage the marketing, sales and operations of the imported Bulk Liquids business, to maximise business performance and financial return to IXOM.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise returns of product sales by retention of existing volume and acquisition of new volume
- Monitoring S&OP overlaying supply and demand market dynamics
- Securing most favourable cost position and working capital terms with suppliers
- End-to-end product stewardship
- Principal & Supplier management
- Build strong and deep relationships to ensure best in class pricing, margin and Trade Working Capital management
- Maintain market intelligence information for products
- Annual review of product plan in consultation with key stakeholders
- Actively work with relevant sales team in account planning for key customers
- Ensure all supplier and product related SH&E requirements are met
Who are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain etc) is preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of bulk supply chains (chemical distribution), S&OP and bulk product offerings
- Good grasp of the principals of bulk product procurement and market analysis
- Experience in managing commercial budgets will be highly regarded
- Ability to build strong relationships and have an eye for detail
- Ability to influence and problem solve
