About your role
Due to an internal promotion, we are currently searching for a Leading Hand to join our Water Treatment Systems team. You will be based at our Edwardstown site, in the southern suburbs of Adelaide and hold a varied position supporting the build and testing of water‑treatment systems. Every project is different, offering strong learning opportunities and close collaboration with engineers.
This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in manufacturing and mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with building, assembling, and testing water‑treatment equipment
- Manage stock levels of IXOM products and site consumables, including procurement and inventory management
- Work closely with project engineers during testing and commissioning
- Contribute to dispatch, inventory, and general workshop duties
- Assist in the fabrication of bespoke equipment within the workshop
- Oversee contractors whilst onsite
- General housekeeping of the workshop and site, including ensuring all tools and manufacturing equipment are maintained and fit for purpose
- Working hours for this role are Monday-Friday 6.30am-3.00pm
Who are we looking for?
- Trade background preferred (fitter, plumber, or electrical)
- High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a small team
- A valid forklift license will be essential
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite; experience with SAP will be highly regarded
- Good knowledge & understanding of Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) standards and statutory regulations
- Experience with pipework, instrumentation, and general mechanical assembly
- Understanding of workshop operations, dispatch, and inventory management
- Experience in a manufacturing background will be highly regarded, in particular the water industry
