Your role


Joining the close-knit Edwardstown team, the Project Engineer will work across purchasing, manufacture, commissioning, operation and project management of Ixom’s Water Treatment System’s (WTS) products which include water treatment plants, chemical dosing systems and other products in the chemical and water industries.

The Project Engineer would also participate in the development and review of bids, proposals and concept designs for Ixom WTS opportunities.


Your responsibilities


  • Undertake and/or delegate mechanical design, commissioning and other engineering duties as instructed by the Project Manager
  • Create and manage project plans, planning documentation, commissioning plans and O&M manuals
  • Participate in safety audits & Hazard studies
  • Manage and undertake procurement for various Ixom WTS projects
  • Assist with the development of site specific SHE procedures as directed by the Site Supervisor
  • Supervision of various contractors engaged by Ixom WTS during the manufacture of Ixom products
  • Develop Work Instructions for various tasks performed on site including the manufacture of various site-specific products


Projects are Australia wide and could require periods of Interstate travel from time to time.


Your skills & experience


  • Tertiary qualified in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or relevant industry experience
  • Good knowledge of SH&E standards and knowledge of statutory regulations
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, able to work in a small team
  • Ability to directly deal with Customer enquires written and verbal
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Project
  • Skills in AutoCAD would be considered an advantage.
