About your role
We are seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Customer Service Representative to join our team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth customer experience by managing orders, invoicing, and day‑to‑day customer enquiries across our chemical and gas operations.
In this varied role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and support the business through accurate order processing, invoicing, and administration. You’ll work closely with internal teams to manage customer expectations and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all inbound customer enquiries, including phone calls, emails, and face‑to‑face counter sales
- Process sales orders, delivery information, and invoices accurately and within required timeframes
- Resolve routine customer queries and manage expectations regarding delivery timelines, pricing, and availability
- Manage all invoicing for chemical (packaged and bulk) deliveries and gas cylinder orders
- Handle cash sales and prepare weekly cash reports for the Finance Manager
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual gas rental invoicing
- Direct new customers to the appropriate chemical or gas sales representatives
- Maintain accurate records of delivery dockets for chemicals and gas cylinders
