About your role
As a Front Line Supervisor for Inwards Goods & Dispatch, you play a key role in coordinating the flow of materials into the warehouse and ensuring accurate, timely dispatch of completed projects. The role combines hands‑on involvement with day‑to‑day leadership, supporting both operational efficiency and team performance, and driving the forklift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations for inwards goods, including receiving, inspecting, and organising incoming materials
- Oversee dispatch processes, ensuring correct packing, documentation, and on‑time delivery
- Maintain inventory accuracy, stock control, and workshop organisation
- Supervise and support a team to meet operational targets
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clean, safe, and efficient setups to prevent contamination and downtime.
- Suggest and support initiatives that improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Operate forklifts and support general warehouse activities as required
Who are we looking for?
- Lead and develop Warehouse operators in safety, quality, compliance, and output.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities to ensure targets are met and workflow runs smoothly.
- Support onboarding and upskilling to build team capability and performance.
- Uphold SH&E and Food Safety standards across all warehouse activities. Maintain safe work practices and ensure all procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and audit‑ready warehouse environment
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and team effectiveness.
- A current, valid forklift licence with extensive hands‑on experience
- Previous experience in warehousing and/or manufacturing environments (chemicals, food, dairy, pharmaceutical preferred)
- Experience handling chemicals and dangerous goods (highly regarded)
- Strong basic computer skills; SAP experience is an advantage
