About your role

 

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across Australian Botanical Products (ABP) and Pure Ingredients (PI). This pivotal role ensures all products consistently meet rigorous internal standards and comply with external regulatory requirements.

 

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing robust quality systems, securing and sustaining key certifications (including ISO 9001, GMP, TGA, and HACCP), and ensuring full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading internal and external audits and managing quality incidents with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Driving continuous improvement through strategic KPIs and quality initiatives.
  • Supporting product stewardship by ensuring safe handling, accurate documentation, and traceability of all products.
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships to embed a culture of quality and safety across the business.
  • Lead and mentor high-performing QA and QC teams, identifying skill gaps and delivering targeted training to support continuous development. Foster a collaborative, quality-driven culture focused on improvement and excellence.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and professional growth of both contract and permanent staff, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and values.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role within the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or personal care industries
  • Strong technical understanding of chemical regulations and compliance requirements across food, pharma, and personal care sectors
  • Proven experience maintaining and improving certified quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22716, TGA)
  • Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience, ideally across multi-site operations
  • Demonstrated capability in conducting internal audits and managing external supplier/vendor audits
  • A proactive, detail-oriented professional with a continuous improvement mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills
