Storeperson

We currently have an opportunity for a self starter to join our team at Hornby site. In this role you will be assisting with the warehousing activities and distribution duties across a wide range of chemical products.

Key Responsibilities

• General forklift duties
• Loading and unloading of trucks, sea freight and land containers
• General warehouse duties including, inwards goods, inventory management
• Follow work instruction as prescribed to ensure dangerous goods are stored and transported to legal standards
• SH&E and Food Safety awareness and compliance
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team, ensuring grooming standards are maintained to be able to use the PPE equipment
• Train in the use of BA (breathing apparatus) and respirators to allow response to possible chemical and toxic gas emergencies.
• Manage and maintain inventory levels in accordance with Ixom standards
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised warehouse area
• Participate actively in incident investigations

 Your skills & experience

• Current and valid forklift license with significant amount of experience
• Previous experience within a warehousing and/or manufacturing environment (chemicals, food, dairy, pharmaceutical)
• Prior experience with chemicals and handling dangerous goods will be highly regarded
• Basic computer skills
• Team player, adaptable, proactive in approach and good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Willingness to learn and assist the wider team
• Able to wear BA (breathing apparatus) and respirators in emergencies
