We're looking for an Account Manager to join our Life Sciences Ingredients team based in Sydney. This is a road-based role focused on growing IXOM's TGA, health, nutrition, nutraceutical and complementary medicines portfolio across New South Wales. The role manages a NSW customer base with established accounts, while driving new business growth across an untapped and expanding market.

About your role

 

This role aligns with our Life Sciences Ingredients Food & Beverage team, with a focus on developing business across TGA, complementary medicines, health, nutrition and supplement manufacturers throughout New South Wales.

 

You'll spend much of your time in the market meeting customers, identifying opportunities and growing your pipeline. While you'll inherit an established customer portfolio, success in this role will come from your ability to uncover new opportunities, convert prospects and build long-term customer partnerships.

 

Working closely with Product Managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll help customers find the right ingredient solutions while supporting growth across IXOM's nutrition and health ingredients portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and grow a NSW territory focused on TGA, complementary medicines, health, nutrition and supplement ingredients.
  • Build and convert a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support customer product development initiatives through ingredient solutions and supplier capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Management, Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Prepare pricing, quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline and forecasting information.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • At least 2 years' experience in road-based account management, sales or business development.
  • Experience within ingredients, TGA, nutraceuticals, supplements, health products or complementary medicines.
  • A strong hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business.
  • Experience building relationships and developing opportunities within a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sales discipline.
  • Ability to manage a territory independently and proactively.

 

Highly regarded:

 

  • Science, Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry or related qualifications.
  • Understanding of TGA-regulated markets or nutrition ingredients.
