ABP has supplied essential oils, plant extracts and fragrances for use in a range of industries including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and flavour & fragrance. ABP is a TGA manufacturing facility offering contract manufacture and producing proprietary listed medicines for the domestic and export markets.

About your role

 

We are seeking a Product Development & Innovation Manager to join our Australian Botanical Products team, based in Lynbrook.  

 

This newly established role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Product Development function, manage and develop personnel, drive and coordinate all briefs from both internal and external sources, and source innovative raw materials to enhance customer outcomes

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new product development and reformulations from concept to scalable production
  • Evaluate raw material alternatives for stability, efficacy, functionality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead cosmetic base and functional blend development across the business
  • Management of Product development team

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Tertiary qualification in Cosmetic Chemistry or similar
  • Previous experience within a cosmetic chemist role.
  • People management experience with a passion for investing in the development and mentoring of others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously
  • Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
