About your role

 

 

The Product Manager – Essential Oils drives growth across Ixom and ABP’s essential oils portfolio. You’ll lead product strategy, strengthen key supplier partnerships, and ensure our offering meets market and customer needs.

 

You’ll identify new opportunities, shape market‑entry and expansion plans, and work cross‑functionally to maximise commercial performance and deepen market presence.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure all SH&E requirements are met, maintaining a zero‑incident standard and closing actions with full root‑cause analysis.
  • Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute market‑entry and expansion strategies for the essential oils portfolio.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key supplier partners to enhance commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Sales, and Marketing to drive customer adoption and support seamless product delivery.
  • Provide strategic product guidance, including positioning, applications, and technical support.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and refine strategies to strengthen market reach and commercial performance.
  • Maintain structured communication with suppliers, including contract management and vendor approvals.
  • Support Sales with proposals, tenders, RFQs, and pricing submissions.
  • Partner with Supply, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective purchasing, documentation, and tailored supply solutions.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline (highly regarded).
  • Experience working with Essential Oils or within the broader Ingredients sector, including exposure to natural extracts, aroma chemicals, and specialty ingredients supplying personal care, food & beverage, home care, wellness, or fine fragrance markets.
  • Background in the Personal Care (PC) industry, with experience across cosmetics, skin care, hair care, or fragrance‑led applications, and an understanding of ingredient‑driven formulation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales and business development.
  • Demonstrated success in tailored solution selling with measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capability, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
