Distribution Coordinator - Bulk Liquids

Your role


We currently have an opportunity for a Distribution Coordinator to join our broader Supply Chain team. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient delivery of IXOM’s bulk liquids and related products to our customers, using contracted 3rd Party carriers. This involves planning, scheduling and stock management to ensure our customers receive their orders in full and on time.

This is a fast paced position that ensures the chemicals we manufacture are distributed and transported in the safest, most efficient way. 

With offices based around Australia, we are extremely flexible on the location of this role, whether you are based in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney. 


Your responsibilities


  • Schedule and coordinate delivery activities of products to meet customer expectations
  • Interact with multiple vendors/carriers and manage their activities to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate complex transport movements, ensuring routes are planned effectively and vehicles are efficiently loaded
  • Monitor carrier performance against agreed objectives and contractual obligations
  • Plan, lead and participate in carrier's review meetings
  • Investigate service and DIFOT fails and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with automated reporting issues, track and trace and paperless processes


Your skills & experience


  • Previous Supply Chain/Logistics experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven exposure of scheduling fleet on behalf of a 3PL
  • Experience in a bulk road or rail transport environment would be highly regarded
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and the ability to think on your feet
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
