About your role
We currently have 2 opportunities for Process Technicians to join our chemical manufacturing plant in Botany, NSW. We produce chlorine on a continuous basis and as part of a close-knit shift team, you are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. This includes contributing to SH&E, quality, production and other targets.
Due to the nature of our 24/7 operation, you will be required to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 x 4 roster including both day and night shifts.
The site is a licensed Major Hazard Facility and is managed under a rigorous safety management system, ensuring employees are protected.
Key responsibilities
- Operation of manufacturing plant producing various chemical products as per standard operating procedures and within the parameters for safe and efficient operation
- Oversee bulk tanker loading and unloading,
- Assist with safety investigations, raise incidents, and ensure corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Carry out plant troubleshooting and minor maintenance
- Permit to work issuer
- Achieve SH&E plan objectives
- Operate the site safely in accordance with legislation
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in a MHF or chemical manufacturing industry would be ideal but not essential
- Valid forklift license would be great, however not essential
- Fault finding and problem-solving skills
- A trade background would be advantageous, however is not essential
- Good communication and time management skills
- Enthusiasm, dedication and an eye for detail
- Passionate about safety and able to work in a team environment
