The Role

 

We are currently searching for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Botany site delivering sustenance and growth capital projects for IXOM Operations manufacturing facilities across our Australian operations.

 

This role will report to our Senior Project Manager and will manage their own book for projects alongside another Project Engineer primarily for our MHF Botany site, but also remotely supporting our wider Australia operations, with a diverse range of chemical products being manufactured via different production processes.

 

In addition to project delivery this role will also complete technical engineering work within projects where required as well as providing technical expertise to the IXOM operations manufacturing facilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Engineering Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning phases of operational & technical capital improvement projects across the IXOM sites
  • Ensure that high engineering standards are implemented on all capital projects by executing all projects as per IXOM Procedures and relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice
  • Ensure all allocated projects from the Project Program for the relevant financial year are completed on time and in budget
  • Raise Expenditure Proposal (EP) for each project responsible for and obtain approval/sanction from CAPEX panel
  • Purchasing and approving goods and services as required for Project or Engineering work.
  • Provide monthly update on budget and timeline for projects in Project Program
  • Supervising and coordinating resources including personnel (both internal and contractors), equipment and materials

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Chemical / Process, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Have demonstrated engineering design experience in a design or project engineering capacity
  • Have engineering experience gained within a liquid process manufacturing, chemical, industrial, petrochemical or similar industry
  • Experience in project engineering would be very highly regarded
  • Have extremely strong organisational and documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders across all levels within a site environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
