Graduates play an integral role in the development and future growth of the business through rotations and bringing fresh insight into teams. The role is a permanent element of the rotation program, though the person is likely to rotate across a few teams. 

 

This graduate position will see you applying your strong technical and communication skills to contribute to innovation and development support for our business.

 

In the first rotation of the programme, you will have the opportunity to play a role in the following areas.

 

Product Development and Innovation

  • Formulate new and/or improved products through laboratory and pilot testing process
  • Project manage development initiatives from initiation to completion
  • Technical specialist support to commercial team
  • Provide technical representation at procurement/customer meetings relevant to your
  • projects
  • Provide advice and support to sales team relating to innovation projects

 

After the first rotation, you will join one our Commercial Teams, who are primarily customer facing sales roles, and later one of our technical site-based roles where you can apply the technical element of your academic study.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Engineering degree in Chemical, Material, Mechanical or Process Engineering
  • Degree based work experience and/or professional hours is preferred (site based is a plus)
  • Past customer facing experience will be highly advantageous
  • Highly flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile
  • Problem solver by nature with broad skill set and willing to apply skills to any area of the business
  • Willingness to learn and to develop into any area, but with a focus on technical application of your degree and commercial business application
  • Sufficiently competent in engineering theory, but more focused on building and using practical skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently, with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Resourceful, enthusiastic and take initiative when the opportunity arises  

 

To be considered for this role you must hold full and permanent working rights in New Zealand and a full New Zealand driver’s license.
