Your role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our close-knit team at our Mt Maunganui site.

Reporting to the NZ Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible to plan, arrange, and co-ordinate all maintenance activities on the Mount Maunganui site, and ensure that all maintenance related work is executed as efficiently and effectively as possible.   

This multi-dimensional role will see you execute effective maintenance across the site to achieve a safe and reliable plant, whilst identifying opportunities to minimize down time and improve use of resources.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure that all maintenance related work activities are performed safely, in compliance with legislation, regulations, and the IXOM Safety Management System.
  • Plan and manage planned and corrective maintenance work  in accordance with IXOM requirements, including weekly maintenance and shutdowns.
  • Scope work order requirements, and source the resources required to execute all planned and corrective maintenance work, including break downs and shutdowns.
  • Maintain the information in the CMMS, and ensure up-to-date and accurate record keeping.
  • Participate in developing and improving the quality of works instructions and documentation for standard tasks.
  • Complete audits, actions, and investigations as required, on time.
  • Optimise maintenance systems to achieve target reliability, reduce cost, and maximise resource utilization.
  • Provide proactive technical advice and contribute to trouble shooting when required.

Your skills & experience

  • Trade Qualification as an Electrician, Instrument Technician or Mechanical Fitter.
  • Proven hands-on experience in an industrial environment (ideally, process or manufacturing).
  • Experience in maintenance planning and using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Forklift license and Elevated Work Platform licenses would be advantageous, or the willingness to obtain them.
  • Experience with safety and permit to work processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and a CMMS, and the willingness to learn in-house systems.
  • Good attention to detail and proven focus on accurate and efficient record keeping.
  • Ability to communicate and work with a wide variety of people.
