About your role

 

We are searching for an experienced Leader to manage operations at our Mount Maunganui site. This role will develop our Production team who manufacture our chemical products, whilst meeting health, safety and quality requirement. 

 

This role will oversee our daily operations whilst driving and championing continuous improvement in the quality of operations and team productivity. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee day to day operations of production, driving the business toward maximum productivity
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to support production in meeting the business requirements
  • Ensure that process operators have the capability to deliver their targets
  • Ensure that production processes are documented and continuously improved or simplified
  • Trouble shooting plant down time issues and determining and implementing corrective actions
  • Compliance with both IXOM and statutory SH&E requirements
  • Managing product rework to ensure that levels are kept to a minimum and that there is a low level of disposed product
  • Contribute to the S&OP process and manage production scheduling in line with business and customer requirements

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Proven experience in team leadership within manufacturing or operations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or operations, preferably in the Chemical, Food, Pharma or Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong safety performance record
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset, Lean experience desirable
  • Good knowledge of SH&E standards and statutory regulations
  • Engineering qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in SAP Transactions
  • Permit to work experience including confined space entry
