Asset Integrity Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Integrity Engineer to join our ANZ Maintenance team based at our Laverton manufacturing site in Victoria.
This role is responsible and accountable for ensuring consistent maintenance strategies are applied and correctly implemented within the IXOM business with a goal of continuously improving the safe operation, reliability and integrity of plant and equipment.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure your work activities comply with the requirements set under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its associated regulations as well as IXOM's SMS (Safety Management System).
- Responsible for allocated asset areas that can Chlorine Cylinder and Drum refurbishment work, bulk chemical storage tanks/vessels, pressure vessels and pressure piping
- Asset and spares criticality reviews
- Review maintenance strategies and develop guidelines and procedures to ensure they are consistent across the business, meet regulatory requirement, industry practices and are fit for purpose
- Strive to improve safety and reliability of plant and equipment within the IXOM business, by taking action that will prevent re-occurrence of failures.
- Carry out vessel inspections (to your level of competency) as required
- Complete sustenance projects allocated to you on time and to budget, ensure IXOM project processes are followed
- Contribute to the sustenance capital plan (including year ahead and 10-year plan)
- Provide a professional level of customer service that meets the business' needs and aligns with the IXOM values
Your skills & experience
- Tertiary qualified in Mechanical Engineering is essential
- Registered in RPEV or RPEQ or NER, or Chartered Professional Engineer of Engineers Australia is a must
- 5 years+ of proven engineering experience
- Previous experience in industrial plants is highly desirable (chemical storage tanks and pressure piping).
- Experience in ASME B31.3, AS2885, API 653, AS3788
- Project management and asset management knowledge is highly desirable
- Proven experience in computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong safety focus
- Strong communication skills and cross functional team management skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality work
- Computer literacy in both Microsoft Office and PowerBI
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS policies and procedures, and relevant Australian standards
