About your role

 

We’re seeking a dedicated SH&E Manager for our Laverton ChlorAlkali site. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing safety and environmental incidents, liaising with regulators, and ensuring the site meets all corporate and legal requirements.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about safety and environmental standards, with a proactive approach to compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage interactions and audits with regulators (Worksafe Victoria, Fire Rescue Victoria, EPA, etc) and community groups.
  • Lead incident investigations using Root Cause Analysis methodology
  • Conduct and manage audits including Critical Control Tests, JCC’s, PTW, CoR, and SHE audits
  • Maintain document compliance and ensure alignment with Corporate SHEMS
  • Facilitate Hazard Studies and Risk Assessments
  • Own and manage the Document Management System (DMS)
  • Contribute to Safety Case Review and Revise processes
  • Provide safety input for new processes and chemical introductions (Management of Change)
  • Offer technical support on OH&S regulations and SHE systems
  • Manage third party security services provider

 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or in a SH&E role within a manufacturing organisation
  • Exposure to Major Hazard Facility operations is highly desirable
  • Experience with OH&S Regulations
