About your role

 

We are now seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to work as part of a collaborative team.

 

This role will support the maintenance team at our Laverton North site and play an integrate role in ensuring compliance with all Ixom and site SH&E procedures.

 

This is role will provide effective maintenance execution to achieve a safe and highly reliable plant, with minimum down time and efficient use of resources.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Complete breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting & support
  • Implementation of preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance activities
  • Reviewing equipment failure using RCA and suggest improvements
  • Compliance with statutory requirements, including MHF regulations
  • Responsible for executing testing of MHF/SIS instruments to schedule
  • Participate in equipment statutory inspection and testing.
  • Identifying and maintaining relationships with materials and service providers

 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Have a dual trade qualification as an A grade electrician and Cert IV Instrumentation Technician or equivalent is mandatory
  • Proven experience in maintenance of a continuous process plant (ideally, chemical manufacturing)
  • Experience in calibration and maintenance of plant instrumentations.
  • Experience in computerised maintenance management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and proven focus on accurate and efficient record keeping
  • A quality focus on work activities
