About your role
As Operations Manager you will drive safety, quality and efficiency at our Laverton Major Hazard Facility manufacturing site, ensuring effective manufacturing as required by the business, whilst meeting SH&E obligations.
Reporting into our Head of Manufacturing this role will lead operations with site accountability for all operational tasks including shift teams and day teams. This is a key role for our site leading a large team of operators and ensuring the site operates in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing operations to ensure we meet our customer demands safely, efficiently and productively
- Responsible for end to end people management across the site, by coaching, training and developing employees
- Understand and comply with all the regulations and licences that apply to the sites
- Implement processes to identify and implement operational efficiency opportunities
- Plant troubleshooting and efficiency improvements
- Ensure plant manning is maintained to safely and effectively manage operations
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience leading manufacturing operations preferably in the Chemical or Oil & Gas industry
- Experience leading teams with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Tertiary qualified in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical) is preferred
- Prior experience working in a Major Hazard Facility
- Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills to build relationships at all levels
