About your role

 

Step into a pivotal role managing a well-established portfolio of customers across the Food & Beverage sector in the central North Island. As the trusted partner for day-to-day account management, you’ll deliver technical expertise, ensure compliance, and drive productivity improvements across key customer sites.

 

This is a growth-focused role, where you will:

 

  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients
  • Identify and convert new opportunities across IXOM’s cleaning, sanitation, and institutional product lines
  • Expand IXOM’s footprint and accelerate market share in a dynamic, competitive industry.

Key responsibitilies

 

  • Drive territory performance to meet financial targets.
  • Deliver on customer contracts and SLAs through training, testing, audits, chemical reviews, and technical support.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with customer teams—Operations, Quality, Technical, Procurement, H&E, and Environment.
  • Grow the territory by converting F&B accounts to IXOM products and securing new business.
  • Keep customers informed with timely updates on pricing, supply chain, compliance, and innovations.
  • Support the delivery of positive customer outcomes through technical troubleshooting in customer plants.
  • Support national F&B initiatives and projects, including travel outside your region.
  • Share market and competitor insights with commercial teams to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with IXOM teams (Water, Dairy, Trading) to boost brand presence and unlock growth.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We’re looking for a commercially savvy professional with strong technical sales expertise and a passion for customer success. You’ll bring:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical Applications, or Food Science
  • Industry background in chemicals, food, or beverage sectors
  • Proficient in Connect, SAP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI
  • Strong financial acumen and data analysis capability
  • Expertise in needs-based, solution selling with customer engagement skills
  • Knowledge of food & beverage processing, cleaning, and sanitation (detergents/chemical handling advantageous)
  • Practical, hands-on experience applying chemical solutions in industrial or food environments
  • Highly beneficial, but not critical, will be B2B sales experience into the Food & Beverage sector.
