Your role

 

This role offers the opportunity to join our industry leading Sales team as a Technical Account Manager. You will service our established portfolio of manufacturing customers within the Dairy and Agriculture industry, in this fast-paced and dynamic role.

We are looking for Technical Account Managers in various locations including;

 

  • Southland
  • Central North Island – Taupo, Rotorua, or Mount Maunganui

 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this technical sales role will allow you to nurture existing relationships and hunt out new business development opportunities. You will also consistently provide technical know-how to your customers. Most of your customers will be based remotely, therefore there will be a lot of travel and autonomy involved for a self-motivated individual.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Provide responsive account management and outstanding customer service
  • Identify and deliver new business growth within your industry segment
  • Provide technical information to customers
  • Work closely with Product Managers to assist you in identifying, contacting and develop new customers, selling new products and increasing market share
  • Prepare and execute customer action plans to improve profitability and satisfaction
  • Capture market intelligence and competitor information

 

Your skills & experience

 

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, account management and a technical based role
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing within the Dairy or Agriculture sectors
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build longstanding relationships, negotiate and influence
  • Commercial acumen to truly understand the business development cycle, challenge current processes and offer insights to the product/technical management group
  • A tertiary qualification in a technical/agriculture discipline would be also be advantageous
