Functional Consultant - Supply Chain

About your role

This is a high-impact role at the heart of how IXOM’s Supply Chain operates and evolves.

As a Functional Consultant, you’ll translate business needs into scalable SAP-led solutions that optimise performance across our end-to-end Supply Chain. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, shaping how systems, processes and capabilities are designed and improved to support future growth.

We are currently progressing key initiatives across Integrated Business Planning (IBP), you’ll play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and innovation across IXOM’s Supply Chain landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with stakeholders to understand, define and translate Supply Chain business requirements
• Lead workshops, interviews and analysis to uncover detailed needs and opportunities
• Evaluate solution options and recommend best-fit approaches aligned to business outcomes
• Design end-to-end functional solutions across SAP and integrated systems (including S/4 and IBP environments)
• Contribute to major transformation programs, including S/4HANA implementation and IBP capability uplift
• Define clear functional and technical specifications (processes, applications, interfaces, infrastructure)
• Assess feasibility and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and IT strategy
• Identify opportunities to enhance or redesign business processes
• Support delivery through robust solution design and documentation
• Provide SME input and 3rd level support on critical SAP-related issues
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovation and optimisation opportunities

About You

You’re someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, with strong SAP Supply Chain expertise and a passion for improving how things work.

• Proven experience in SAP MM (and/or SD/IBP) within Supply Chain environments
• Background in functional consulting or solution design
• Strong experience translating business requirements into system solutions
• Ability to solve complex problems and provide practical, scalable recommendations
• Confident engaging and influencing stakeholders across the business
• Strong documentation skills – clear, structured and concise
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working autonomously
• Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline
