Join IXOM as a HSE Coordinator (Safety, Health & Environment) and play a key role in supporting safety, compliance, and operational excellence across our Bituminous Products sites nationally.

 

Reporting to the National Technical Manager, this role is ideal for an early-career HSE professional looking to build their experience within a large, supportive organisation.

 

About the Role

 

In this nationally scoped position, you will support the delivery of SHE programs, compliance, and operational plans across multiple sites while working closely with branch managers and site teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate SHE operations plans across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with IXOM and statutory requirements
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for SHE programs
  • Monitor and assist site leaders with system requirements (Velocity)
  • Maintain site licences and manage external reporting obligations
  • Support delivery of SHE training and inductions
  • Assist with:
    • Risk registers and procedure updates
    • Contractor management and onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with SEQMS and SH&E standards
  • Support audit planning, execution, and follow-up
  • Track and report on SHE performance metrics

 

About You

 

  • 1–3 years’ experience in HSE / WHS, ideally in manufacturing, construction, mining, or similar industries
  • A current and valid driver’s licence is required due to travel requirements of the role
  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or related discipline (desirable)
  • Exposure to ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP or Velocity highly regarded
